The Senior Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for driving technical sales activities within the downstream and midstream oil & gas sectors. The role combines strong engineering knowledge with commercial expertise to develop customer relationships, identify project opportunities, provide technical solutions, and achieve revenue targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead the entire technical sales cycle for downstream and midstream projects
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
- Identify and qualify customer technical requirements
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations
- Negotiate contracts and close deals with EPCs and end users
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering
- 5+ years of technical sales experience in Oil & Gas industry
- Strong knowledge of downstream and midstream operations
- Experience with EPC projects and tendering processes
- Ability to read P&IDs and technical specifications
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
Nice to have
- Knowledge of API, ASME, and international industry standards
- Experience in valves, pumps, instrumentation, or rotating equipment
- CRM system experience
- Additional language proficiency
- Willingness to travel within the region
