Odoo Developer & IT Support

Job Summary

We are seeking an Odoo Developer to manage, customize, support, and continuously improve the company’s Odoo ERP system. The role involves working closely with different departments to understand business requirements, troubleshoot system issues, customize Odoo modules and workflows, and ensure smooth day-to-day ERP operations.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Odoo 17, Python, PostgreSQL, XML, and Odoo Studio, with the ability to support both functional and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and support the company’s Odoo ERP system.
• Customize existing Odoo modules based on business requirements.
• Develop and modify Odoo views, fields, buttons, workflows, and business logic.
• Configure and support Odoo modules including:
  • Sales
  • CRM
  • Inventory
  • Manufacturing (MRP)
  • Purchase
  • Quality
  • Approvals
  • Employees / HR
  • Time Off
  • Contacts
• Troubleshoot and resolve Odoo functional and technical issues.
• Manage and test changes in Staging/Test environments before deploying them to Production.
• Support Inventory and Manufacturing operations, including:
  • Delivery Orders
  • Stock Transfers
  • Lots and Serial Numbers
  • Product Locations
  • Manufacturing Orders
  • Validation and Approval workflows
• Create and modify custom fields, list views, form views, smart buttons, reports, and automated actions.
• Modify XML/QWeb views and email templates when required.
• Develop and maintain custom Odoo modules using Python and XML.
• Work with PostgreSQL databases for troubleshooting and development purposes.
• Analyze user requirements and translate business processes into Odoo solutions.
• Manage user access rights, roles, groups, and permissions within Odoo.
• Investigate system errors and identify root causes.
• Support users and provide guidance on Odoo processes and workflows.
• Maintain documentation for customizations, configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and system changes.
• Coordinate with external Odoo consultants or vendors when necessary.
• Ensure that system changes do not negatively impact existing business operations.
• Perform testing and validation before implementing changes in the Production environment.

Technical Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Odoo ERP, preferably Odoo 17.
• Good knowledge of:
  • Python
  • XML
  • PostgreSQL
  • Odoo ORM
  • Odoo Studio
  • QWeb
• Understanding of Odoo module structure and custom module development.
• Familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu environments.
• Basic knowledge of Git and version control.
• Ability to troubleshoot Odoo errors and analyze logs.
• Understanding of ERP business processes, particularly Sales, Inventory, Manufacturing, and Purchasing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Odoo.sh.
• Experience working with Production, Staging, and Local Development environments.
• Experience customizing Odoo Inventory and Manufacturing workflows.
• Knowledge of REST APIs or third-party system integrations.
• Experience with ERP implementation or business process improvement.
• Understanding of access control, security groups, and approval workflows in Odoo.

Experience

Preferred: 1–3 years of experience working with Odoo ERP development, customization, implementation, or technical support.
